Today we had an epic 1 mile vertical climb that was satisfying on every level.
The trail was littered with springs that cooled the inside and outside of my body and earlier in the day some horse riding trail workers sawed through a bunch of blow downs so the air was filled with the scent of freshly cut pines.
I saw a family of lizards sunning themselves.
And crossed many a stream.
I had hoped to catch up with the trail workers to thank them but all I found were recently produced horse droppings and freshly opened trail.
They even cut some stools at one site. They must really enjoy their work. :-)
Here is a video I took at the completion of my climb. I was a bit out of breath. :-)
And towards the end of my hike I reached another milestone.
Getting closer with every footstep.
