I started my day with a delightful dehydrated meal of eggs and sausage that I traded a dinner for the other day.
It tasted like scrambled eggs to me!
I climbed up to Muir Pass, and saw many beautiful flowers along the way.
They lined the trail.
The air was so still that the rocks reflected perfectly along the shore.
There was a beautiful stone hut atop the pass, erected by The Sierra Club in honor of John Muir.
Here are some views of the inside:
There were quie a few of us up there.
Including this friendly fur ball.
On the other side of the pass were more mirror like lakes.
I caught up with my pals Sara, Katie, and Ben, and we cruised along with the goal of reaching VVR in 24 hours.
We crossed several streams. Some were rock hops and some were fords.
Thankfully some of the larger rivers had bridges for us to cross.
And water falls down stream of them.
We shared dinner and hiked into the night, cowboy camping like sardines on two ground cloths we pieced together.
